Pat Dunaway was recognized as Central Georgia Technical College's 2008 Advisory Committee Member of the Year. The award was presented during CGTC’s annual College-Wide Advisory Committee Meeting on November 12 at the Macon Campus.
Dunaway, who works in the radiology department at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, chairs CGTC’s radiologic technology program advisory committee. She was instrumental in getting the program started by securing equipment and being a liaison between the college and the Medical Center for information and networking.
The CGTC Foundation presents the Advisory Committee Member of the Year Award annually to an advisory member who has provided significant support to their occupational program. Instructors are asked to submit nominations for the award, which are judged by the awards and scholarship committee of the CGTC Foundation.
Program Advisory Committees are the direct link between a specific program area at Central Georgia Technical College and the business, professional and industrial communities of central Georgia. These committees provide counsel and advice to the faculty and administrators of the program it serves, including program evaluation, advocacy, promotion job placement, and industry support of the program.
