Central Georgia Technical College holds Fall Career Expo

More than 300 people attended Central Georgia Technical College’s 2008 Fall Career Expo on October 23 at the Macon Campus. The event was sponsored by CGTC and the Georgia Department of Labor.

Nineteen businesses from around the central Georgia area participated in the career expo, which included workshops designed to help job seekers in areas ranging from resume writing skills to communication skills.

"The career fair was successful and was very helpful for students and the public who are trying to choose a career path," said Tony Turner, director of CGTC’s Office of Career Services. "With the current state of the economy, more people are coming to career fairs not only for job opportunities and networking, but also to learn more about what the technical college can provide. Through our numerous career options, CGTC works to help people get where they want to be faster, and at an affordable cost."
