Zipporaha Gober Receives Lambda Nu Scholarship

The national office of Lambda Nu, the honor society for radiologic and imaging sciences, has announced Zipporaha Gober, a radiologic technology student at Central Georgia Technical College, has been awarded a $500 scholarship.

Gober is one of twelve recipients of the Fall 2008 Lambda Nu Scholarships and one of only three recipients from Georgia. Over fifty applications were reviewed by the Lambda Nu National Board of Directors, and the awards were officially announced on October 17. Awards were based on grade point average (GPA), financial need, written essay and recommendations of program directors.

In March 2008, Gober was named CGTC's winner of the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL). A statewide program of the Technical College System of Georgia, GOAL honors excellence in academics and leadership among the state's technical college students.

The Lambda Nu Board of Directors will conduct another scholarship opportunity in the spring of 2009.
