CGTC, a Unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, is an Equal Opportunity College and Employer Reference and Instruction LibrarianCampus Location: Macon Campus Qualifications: A Master of Library Science degree from an American Library Association accredited program and previous work experience within an academic library reference and instruction department are required. The selected candidate must have a strong commitment to public service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional computer skills, and experience with automated library systems and Internet applications. Demonstrated organizational ability, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work independently are a plus. Responsibilities: Provide reference services utilizing a variety of information resources and formats with an emphasis on computer and Internet research applications. Schedule, coordinate, and deliver library class instruction and orientation sessions in the use of library resources and services with an emphasis on GALILEO databases. Transact and maintain interlibrary loan borrowing and lending requests and local holdings union listings. Oversee circulation and patron database operations and distribution of library overdue notices. Maintain library usage statistics, user surveys, and other quantitative measures for tracking library use and corresponding reports. Assist in the development and maintenance of library resource guides and user training materials. Assist in the selection, acquisition, and processing of new library materials. Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of the library’s automation system and world-wide-web pages. Assist in supervision of part-time library staff. Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Aircraft Structural Technology InstructorCampus Location: Macon Campus Qualifications: A minimum of associate degree in field and at least three (3) years relevant work experience within the last five (5) years are required. Teaching or training experience is a plus. Selected candidate must be willing to teach both day and evening classes. Evening Reference Librarian (Part-Time)Campus Location: Milledgeville Campus Qualifications: Must possess a Master of Library/Information Science degree from an American Library Association accredited program and work experience within an academic library utilizing a variety of electronic, print, and non-print information resources. Excellent computer skills and experience with automated library systems and Internet applications are required. Ability to work independently, strong commitment to public service and excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Responsibilities: General reference and public services duties using a variety of information resources and formats. Provide library instruction sessions and orientations to classes in the use of library resources and services with an emphasis on GALILEO and Internet databases. Manage library operations during assigned hours including circulation of materials, patron records maintenance, collection management, and oversight of evening operations. Business Administrative Technology Adjunct InstructorCampus Location: Crawford County Center Qualifications: A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Business or a closely related field and three years work experience in a business environment; prior postsecondary teaching experience is highly preferred. Surgical Technology Clinical Adjunct InstructorCampus Location: Macon Campus Qualifications: CST or RN, CNOR certification and at least three years current operating room experience are required. Prior teaching and training experience are preferred. Responsibilities: Management of students during clinical rotations; participate in annual meetings with clinical site representatives; participate in the Surgical Technology Advisory Committee meetings; work with students during classroom and lab assignments.
