Accreditation

Central Georgia Technical College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Central Georgia Technical College.

Accreditation is coordinated at the College by the Director, Institutional Effectiveness who may be reached by calling (478) 757-3424.

Program Accreditation

  • The Automotive Technology program offered at the Milledgeville Campus location is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and is evaluated by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Inc. (NATEF).

  • The Barbering program is approved by the Georgia State Board of Barbers.

  • The Clinical Laboratory Technology program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

  • The Computer Information Systems program is approved by CISCO Systems CNAP program and holds memberships with Microsoft's ITAP and MSDNAA programs.

  • Cosmetology/Nail Technician/Esthetician programs are approved by the Georgia Board of Cosmetology.

  • The Dental Hygiene program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

  • The Early Childhood Care and Education Associate Degree Program with a Paraprofessional Specialization is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

  • EMT and Paramedic Technology programs are approved by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Office of EMS.

  • The Orthopedic Technology program has program recognition from The National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists (NAOT).

  • Patient Care Assisting programs are approved by the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry Georgia Health Partnership (GMCF).

  • Practical Nursing programs are approved by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses.

  • The Surgical Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
