CGTC Foundation Mission
The Central Georgia Technical College Foundation coordinates the
solicitation of funds, grants, and properties from corporations,
government agencies and private sources. The Foundation provides
private funding for capital expansion and improvements, equipment,
staff and faculty development, scholarships and endowments.
CGTC Foundation History
The Central Georgia Technical College Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit,
501(c)3, foundation established in 1993. The CGTC foundation is
governed by a local board of trustees responsible for providing
scholarships, endowments, and research grants to promote education
at CGTC. The Board of Trustees cultivates and coordinates cash,
grants and other funding, and property from industry, business,
foundations and friends of CGTC. The CGTC Foundation works to improve
the lives of residents in Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Jones, Monroe,
Putnam, and Twiggs counties.
CGTC Foundation Philosophy
The Foundation was established to foster a shared financial commitment
and patronage from the community. The Foundation believes that private
funding will ensure, expand and enhance the high level of technical
and occupational training at CGTC.
The Foundation's mission, goals, and objectives are consistent
with the philosophy, purpose and strategic plan of the college.
Private funding reflects the college's goals and objectives.
Funding from the Foundation is used to assist the college in furnishing
high quality programs and services for the students, area business
and industry, and the community.
The Foundation encourages corporations, individuals, and local
businesses to benefit and contribute as partners in strengthening
technical education in CGTC's service area and within the State
of Georgia.
