Race for Education The Foundation hosted the 6th annual Race for Education 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at CGTC's Warner Robins campus. Finish line management and results were provided by Classic Race Services and results have been posted to Classic Race Services, Active, Cool Running, and Running In The USA.

Over 200 people supported the 2015 Race for Education and helped the Foundation raise close to $10,000 to support adult education and literacy initiatives at CGTC.  This event is held annually in September, which is National Literacy Month.

The Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the race, especially the sponsors who made this event possible. Special thanks goes to Georgia Bob's BBQ for partnering with the CGTC Foundation for the fifth year to support this event. Bob Evans and Jennifer Cox of Georgia Bob's BBQ Company donated $500 to the Foundation after the conclusion of their annual ‘shoe fundraiser,' which was held at Georgia Bob’s restaurants in Warner Robins, Byron, Perry, Warner Robins, and Macon.

“We are so thankful for the continued support of Georgia Bob’s BBQ Company,” said Tonya L. McClure, assistant vice president for institutional advancement. “The generosity of our community partners, who are so clearly committed to helping our students achieve their academic goals, is overwhelming.”
