CGTC Scholarship Bass Tournament
|The Foundation hosted the first annual CGTC Scholarship Bass Tournament on Saturday, April 30 at Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville, GA. It was a beautiful day on the lake as 28 teams competed for the biggest bass. The Foundation would like to thank the anglers who participated in the tournament and give special thanks to Visual Systems Group Inc. (VSGi) and CISCO for sponsoring the tournament. Thanks also to David Fox, aircraft structural technology instructor, for lending his expertise and serving as tournament director for this event. We look forward to building on the success of the first tournament and growing this event in the years to come.|
Eleventh Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser
The Central Georgia Technical College Foundation will host the Eleventh Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Houston Lake Country Club in Perry. A buffet lunch will be served at 11 a.m. and the tournament will begin with a shotgun scramble at 12 noon. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m.
This tournament fills up quickly so reserve your spot today! All proceeds from this tournament will benefit student scholarships at CGTC.

Pomp & Circumstance: A Casino Night Fundraiser
The Central Georgia Technical College Foundation hosted the second annual Pomp and Circumstance: A Casino Night Fundraiser on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the beautiful Idle Hour Country Club in Macon. Over one hundred people went “all in” to support this event, which featured Blackjack, Texas Hold’em, Roulette, Craps, and the Big Money Wheel.
“We are truly humbled by the support that we received from our friends and community partners,” said Tonya L. McClure, assistant vice president for institutional advancement. “It is our hope to grow this event into one of our annual major fundraisers in the future.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit the CGTC Foundation for projects including student scholarships and textbook assistance programs.
2015 Race for Education 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
The Foundation hosted the 6th annual Race for Education 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at CGTC's Warner Robins campus. Finish line management and results were provided by Classic Race Services and results have been posted to Classic Race Services, Active, Cool Running, and Running In The USA.
Over 200 people supported the 2015 Race for Education and helped the Foundation raise close to $10,000 to support adult education and literacy initiatives at CGTC. This event is held annually in September, which is National Literacy Month.
The Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the race, especially the sponsors who made this event possible. Special thanks goes to Georgia Bob's BBQ for partnering with the CGTC Foundation for the fifth year to support this event. Bob Evans and Jennifer Cox of Georgia Bob's BBQ Company donated $500 to the Foundation after the conclusion of their annual ‘shoe fundraiser,' which was held at Georgia Bob’s restaurants in Warner Robins, Byron, Perry, Warner Robins, and Macon.
