Student Eligibility

To be considered for federal aid a student must:

  • Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program or major; and
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; and
  • Have a high school diploma (or equivalent) or pass an approved Ability-to-Benefit Test; and
  • Make satisfactory academic progress; and
  • Not be in default/overpayment/exceed limit on any type of student loan; and
  • Not owe a refund on any type of federal or state aid; and
  • Have a valid Social Security Number
