Online students that experience technical
problems should first contact their course
instructor for assistance.
Some problems encountered are a direct result of specific software
requirements of individual courses.
In the event that the course instructor
is unable to provide appropriate assistance,
students can contact the Distance Education

The username and password for Blackboard is:
schoolcode_studentid
The school code for CGTC is 35 and your student id is the number printed on your ID card. You will NOT be able to use your social security number.
For example, if your school is Central Georgia Technical College and your student id is 910199999, your login would be 35_910199999 and your password would be 35_910199999.

Online Orientation:
The online
orientation contains self-assesment
tools, technology requirements, technology
skills, blackboard tutorials, and tips to
be successful in an online class.
All students who wish to take an online class are required to read and agree to the Online Classes Orientation Agreement Form. Students who do not read and agree to the requirements will not be able to participate in online classes.
Information Technology Department:
The Information Technology Department deals
with technical computing queries in specific
relations to the educational software provided
as part of CGTCs online course materials. All
