Internet Service Provider
An ISP is a company that can provide you with the software necessary
for getting onto the Internet. Contact your local ISP to set up your
personal account. Without an ISP, it is impossible to take
GVTC Online Courses. Students have reported numerous problems
when using AOL to access online courses. If you use AOL, you must
be able to access Netscape or Internet Explorer. Do not use
the AOL browser!
information on finding a local ISP provider.

Email Account
CGTC supplies a CGTC student email address for all online students. All correspondence for all online courses should be conducted using your new CGTC email address. Once you are registered for an online course, you will have a CGTC email account set up for you within 24 - 48 hours. To find out your email address and password, please go to http://www.centralgatech.edu/student/email/email.cfm. Familiarize yourself with this portion of the web site and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
