Warner Robins, Ga. – Robert ‘Bob’ Landau of Eatonton was recently honored for his years of service to the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Board of Directors. Landau, who has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2009, completed three terms as Putnam County’s representative on the Board at the June 2018 meeting. Warner Robins, Ga. – Members of the SkillsUSA student organization at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) recently brought home their first gold medal in the Chapter Display category of the SkillsUSA Nationals competition.
Thomas Butler, Alison Crumb, and QaNeshia Mays earned gold by building a three-dimensional display that articulates the annual theme for the organization’s national competition, “Champions at Work, Job Ready Day One,” held in Louisville, Ky.

Macon, Ga – Expansion to Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) on its Macon campus is bringing a three-year-old preschool childcare program to families and with the announcement of a new grant aimed at cutting tuition cost, children of students enrolled at the College will have greater access to affordable, quality childcare.

Warner Robins, Ga. – For the third time in three years, Central Georgia Technical College’s (CGTC) Office of Global Initiatives will have an international study abroad scholarship winner join its summer trip.
Shasheen Kher, a student pursuing an Associates of Applied Science with the College, learned he was the recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship by email during the spring semester.
“I kind of fired it off and was like; eh we’ll see what happens,” Kher said of the application submission for the scholarship which provides funding to students to participate in study abroad programs. Read More

Warner Robins, Ga. – Dr. Ivan Allen, president of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), announced recently students named to the Central Georgia Technical College President’s Honor Roll for Spring Semester 2018.
To qualify, students must be in Academic Good Standing, earn a semester-based grade point average of 4.0 with an earned course load of at least 12 credit hours for the semester, and a work ethics grade of “2” or higher for each course completed.

Harvey, Business Customer Service and Technology instructor, a finalist for its 2017 Vocational Instructor of the Year. Warner Robins, Ga. – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Foundation recently announced a new scholarship fund named in honor of Parker Killian Moore, the 23-year-old Barberitos employee killed in a shooting on Watson Boulevard in January.
The Parker Killian Moore Memorial Scholarship (PKMMS) will be awarded to one deserving student who meets qualifications, which include, being a single parent, receiving little or no financial assistance, and acceptance into the Associate of Science in Nursing program at the College. Read More
