MSC 100 ESSENTIALS
OF MEDICAL ESTHETICS (4-1-3)
Introduces the skills necessary for assisting physician in
caring for skin. The student broadens knowledge of skin care by
learning medical and scientific aspects of the skin.
MSC 101 ESSENTIALS
OF MEDICAL ESTHETICS/SKIN DISEASE IDENTIFICATION (4-1-5)
Prerequisites: AHS 101, AHS
104, and MAS 101
Introduces the common skin conditions that motivate patients
to seek professional treatment and how to identify certain medical
conditions, in addition to the basic chemical reactions that take
place in the skin. The student will develop the skills to treat
conditions resulting from the environment, heredity, and lifestyles.
MSC 102 ADVANCED SKIN TREATMENT (1-4-3)
Prerequisites: AHS 101, AHS
104, and MAS 101
Introduces the various diseases and conditions of the skin,
common skin allergens and reactions, and results of changes in
skin characteristics. The student will have knowledge of types
of skin injuries and how the skin is regenerated. The student
will develop the skills to treat conditions resulting from the
environment, heredity, and lifestyles. The student will perform
multiple skin regenerating procedures.
