BARBERING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (BIT1)

The Barbering Instructor Training technical certificate program provides a course of study for learning the skills needed to teach the theory and practice of skills in barbering as required by the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education. Course work includes requirements for becoming an instructor, introduction to teaching theory, methods and aids, practice teaching, and development of evaluation instruments. Graduates of the program may be employed as barbering instructors in public or private education and business in Georgia and many other states. To be admitted to the program, student must be a barber licensed by the Georgia Board of Barbers.
