BARBERING (BA02)
The Barbering program provides an opportunity for students to learn
the manipulative skills and acquire the scientific and technical
knowledge necessary to enter the field of barber/styling at the
job-entry level. Students are to become proficient in the techniques,
care, sanitary practices, and safety in using implements and equipment
for shaving, hair cutting, shampooing, giving scalp and hair treatments,
hair coloring, hair styling, chemical hair relaxing, permanent waving,
and facial treatments. Students who complete program requirements
receive assistance in completing necessary paperwork for state licensure.
