CGTC Admissions Procedures
- Submit a completed application along with a $15.00 non-refundable application fee.
Use one of the following major codes on the application:
Cisco CCNA Specialist Certificate CSP1
Networking Specialist Diploma CIN4
Networking Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree CIN3
- Submit an official copy of a high school/GED diploma or prior college transcripts documenting completion of program-level mathematics and English. An official copy of a transcript must be delivered to Central Georgia Technical College in a sealed envelope.
A high school diploma/GED is required for all associate degree programs and for most diploma and certificate programs. Requirements vary according to program of study. A high school diploma/GED is desirable, but is not an entrance requirement for all programs.
- Submit to ASSET testing or provide the Office of Admissions with valid SAT, ACT, or CPE scores. Transfer students may exempt testing upon submission of official transcripts from former technical colleges, colleges, universities or other postsecondary institutions, documenting satisfactory completion or program level English and mathematics course work. Transfer students must be in good standing at their former institution.
- Health Technology programs may have additional admission requirements. Please refer to the CGTC catalog for additional requirements.
- Upon admission to CGTC, all new students are required to attend an online orientation program.
- In some instances, students without a high school diploma or the equivalent may be admitted under prevailing laws or policies governing the ability to benefit.
- Applicants/Students with disabilities requesting special assistance must contact the Vice President of Student Affairs at (478)757-3507 before program acceptance. Failure to meet the requirement may result in a loss of requested assistance.

Financial Aid is available to assist students with their educational costs (tuition, fees, & books).
- Associate Degree Programs – students may apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the HOPE Scholarship (GSFAPPS for GA Residents only).
- Diploma Programs – students may apply for the FAFSA and the HOPE Grant (GSFAPPS for GA Residents only).
- Technical Certificate Program – students may apply for the HOPE Grant (GSFAPPS for GA Residents only).
- All financial aid applicants must complete the CGTC Financial Aid Information form.
