Hutchings College and Career Academy, CGTC, Perdue Foods Celebrate Work-Ready Students

Macon, Ga – William S. Hutchings College and Career Academy (HCCA), Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and Perdue Foods Perry Cook Facility (Perdue Foods) celebrated the full-time employment of two recent graduates with a signing ceremony on Friday, October 9, at 1 p.m. The event was held at the Robert J. Williams Complex, 1780 Anthony Road in Macon.

Lady Titans Named NJCAA WBB Academic Team of the Year

Macon, GA – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently announced the 2019-20 Academic Teams of the Year. Despite an academic year that was interrupted due to COVID-19, NJCAA student-athletes flourished in the classroom as 1,026 teams earned at least a 3.0 GPA or better.

CGTC Student-Athletes Earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Macon, Ga – The National Junior College Athletic Association recently announced its 2019-20 All-Academic Team honorees.
To receive all-academic team recognition, student-athletes must achieve an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2019-20 academic year. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams is as follows:
NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA
NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA

CGTC Will Continue Online Learning for Remainder of Spring 2020 Semester

In accordance with Governor Brian Kemp’s Executive Order 03.26.20.02, Central Georgia Technical College will restrict in-person instruction with limited exceptions through the rest of the Spring 2020 semester. CGTC Men’s Basketball Coach Reco Dawson Named GCAA Coach of the Year

Technical College System of Georgia to Raise Tuition Rate

Warner Robins, Ga. – The Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) State Board recently approved an $11 increase in the tuition rate for all 22 of Georgia’s technical colleges. The tuition increase will go into effect beginning in the fall 2019 semester.
